The Evening Light Worship Service at Geneva

Communion

If you love creativity, authenticity,  freedom, and community, this is a worship service for you.

What can you expect?

A gathering of about fifteen to thirty people and a warm welcome. We meet in the Fellowship Hall.  The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and reverent.  Child-care is provided in a room in the same building (although we like to keep the kids with us as we sing.)   We sing the sort of songs that you might hear on Christian radio such as FM88.1 (klove) or 91.7 (The Promise) or on-line at klove.com, but acoustically.  Each week, there are parts of the service that will be interactive.   You can expect to hear passages read from the Bible, prayers, times of silence, and a message based in the Scriptures.   On the first Sunday of the month, we celebrate the Communion.   We break off a piece of bread from a loaf and dip it in the cup before eating.  At the end of the service, you’ll be sent out with a blessing encouraged to be a blessing in the world.

Most importantly, Jesus will be there.  He promised to show up whenever two or three people gathered in His name.  Hope you can worship with us.
