Regional (Youth) Mission Trips

Our youth and some adult leaders will be returning to Big Creek Mission in Eastern Kentucky.  This group will participate in various work projects aimed at building relationships.

We’re really excited to continue our mission work at Big Creek.  This year we are sending 18 or so youth and adults.  They will be doing construction, working with kids, spending time the elderly, serving those in need and others in the community around Big Creek in creative ways – all to build relationships and to encounter Jesus Christ.  Ever year those who go  return encouraged and transformed.

Mission trips are big part of our strategy to prepare our youth for a life of following Jesus Christ.  Many people are drawn to mission activity because it gives a sense of helping others and doing something truly meaningful with our time, talent, and resources.  And that is both good and true.  But the real surprise for many when they go out on a mission “to help others”, they discovery that Christ is already at work in the lives of the people there.    They become doubly blessed, by serving and by encountering Christ!
