You will be my witnesses…to the ends of the earth! Every summer since 2009, we’ve sent a group to Nicaragua to partner with Vida Joven Nicaragua (Young Life) to bear witness to Christ’s work in the beautiful land of Nicaragua. Each year, this group encounters Christ in a powerful, life-transforming way. Those who go return with new friends, a sense of hope, and new outlook on God’s Kingdom.
Our partner in Nicaragua is Vida Joven (Young Life). Their model for ministry emphasizes leadership development through building relationships. Their goal is a nationwide ministry. Their hope is to see Jesus Christ renew their amazing country! We work with the Vida Joven leaders serving in Esteli.
We generally spend a week in Nicaragua in June or July. This summer, a group of eight are heading down south to renew relationships, do construction, help with outreach, and (most importantly) encounter Jesus Christ!
This trip is for adults, but high-school age youth can go either with a parent or with an “adopted parent” (i.e. close family friend). But whole families can go, too, even with younger kids. We really celebrate when parents and their children (of any age) can work side-by-side on the mission team together. This trip is also open to non-members.
