Habitat for Humanity
Habitat is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry which builds affordable houses with God's people in need. Geneva has been involved for many years through individual and group participation in home building. Primarily Geneva has worked with HabiJax (Duval County) which holds as its mission "to eliminate poverty and substandard housing conditions in Duval County." Geneva joins in this ministry to build not only houses but "homes." There is also a growing Habitat organization in St Johns County (St. Augustine) called HabiSaint.
